Go behind the scenes and meet the distillers as you gain an appreciation of the history, process & romance that goes into the production of Aussie Spirits, Wines and Craft Beer. Enjoy a day out tasting, touring & indulging on an escorted Whisky/Gin/Wine/Craft Beer/Cider Tour. Our packages all include a delicious local winery lunch, quality hotel accommodation with daily breakfasts. For something completely different, we also suggest some super fun group activities and tours

What does your day of Whisky & Gin Tasting/Touring look like?
Here's a snapshot of how the day will unfold as you go behind the scenes of the distillation process, meet the whisky / gin makers & learn about the specific ingredients & components that combine to give your personal taste-buds a real appreciation for these highly sought after, delicious Tasmanian Spirits.....
The day starts with introductions & a morning latte/tea at a centrally located Cafe, before journeying into the beautiful countryside to visit a handful of the carefully chosen distilleries on any given day. You'll sample over a dozen spirits throughout your day. A scrumptious local lunch with more tastings awaits. Often served overlooking picturesque vineyards at a winery, you'll admire the scenery & the food. The afternoon will take you to 1-2 more distilleries for touring and tastings before our time together comes to an end, but not before you enjoy a final dram together at the Lark Cellar Door back in Central Hobart.
Meet your whisky/gin host & driver & travel between the distilleries in style!
Learn all about the distillation process and what makes each distillery unique. Distilleries we frequently visit range from Spring Bay, Sullivans Cove, Old Kempton, Shene Estate, Killara, Belgrove & more
Get up close & personal with the distillers (such as Peter Bignell from Belgrove Estate)
Enjoy delicious local lunches with tastings (usually at a top winery such as Frogmore Creek)

Contact us to begin planning your unforgettable all-inclusive whisky/gin tasting tour today. We'll always include the escorted whisky touring with lunch, great hotel accommodation & daily brekky in your package. Often we'll also include the airfares plus some supplementary touring (such as sailing on the SV Rhona H or the Mt Wellington Descent Cycling Experience or return ferry with entrance to MONA).
To enable us to prepare a more detailed itinerary and quote (all obligation free, of course!), here’s what we need from you:

Choose your ideal dates to travel (we recommend Thursdays - Sundays)

Guestimate the size of your group (bringing a group of 6, you get the entire whisky/gin guide/driver and vehicle to yourselves so it becomes a private tour). If it's fewer than 6, you simply join our existing small group departure tours.

Choose your ideal duration (3 nights is ideal BUT if time is precious, we can do a 2 night package)
